This boat was called a 390 in 2006 when it was released, then later changed to a 400. It is 42’ with the Swim Platform, The boat is a two-level cockpit. On the Upper Level, the Helm, with its doublewide seat, is placed to the Starboard side, and the C-Shaped seating is to the Port. The walk-through windshield access to the foredeck. Instruments and controls on the helm console are placed in an attractive simulated burl wood background. The lower level of the cockpit features a galley equipped w/Refrigerator, ice maker, and sink, electrical panel controls, an electric engine hatch, a stern locker hatch, cockpit lights, and an underwater swim light. The rear cockpit has seating for seven and has an attachment that makes it a giant layout bed. The high hull sides give the 390 Express Cruiser a brawny stance isn’t done for looks alone, but to increase the interior volume. One step inside the cabin and will see why. There’s up to 6’10” of headroom throughout.
A private two-Stateroom layout. The forward master suite has a Queen –size berth set against on side of the hull V with a flat-screen TV that includes a built-in DVD Player. There is plenty of storage with the small closet. The aft cabin is exceptionally roomy due to the boat using stern drive instead of inboard propulsion. The standup headroom at the end of the twin berths measures 7’. A Flat screen T.V w/DVD player, storage above and underneath both beds w/ a built-in vanity and sink. The main salon features Satin-finish cherry veneer cabinetry with brushed nickel hardware.
All countertops are Corian w/fiddle edge. Galley has a two-burner stove, refrigerator, microwave/coffee combo, and a stainless steel sink.
390 has upgraded teak flooring, the large couch has a table drop down to a comfortable Queen bed. A 3rd T.V. w/DVD player, the control panel is located in the salon, Central AC/Heat. The twin Magnum engines have 450 hrs., Rinker claimed in a press release this boat would top out at 45mph. Tops out at 40 mph and the tall stance provides excellent visibility from the helm, and steering is nimble. Slow-speed maneuvering is made easier with the upgrade of the bow thruster. A spacious easy access engine room allows for performing simple maintenance tasks. The generator is located on the starboard side with a remote start from the cabin. New engine batteries are located on the port side. All maintenance is up to date and documented by the marine mechanic.
